Mark leads Cedarstone’s corporate finance and HR functions, driving operational excellence, employee engagement, and sustainable organizational growth. He’s also provided COO-level and other specialized services to Cedarstone clients in the past.
Before joining Cedarstone in 2022, Mark served for over 5 years as Chief Operating Officer at Unseen, a nonprofit and Cedarstone client supporting anti-human trafficking partners in more than 30 countries. Prior to that, he spent 18 years in higher education in both China and the U.S., serving as a business professor and Director of Career Centers. Earlier in his career, Mark held operational roles across a range of industries—including footwear and apparel design, technology, manufacturing, agriculture, government, and financial services—and played key roles in startups, mergers, and an IPO.
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Pacific Lutheran University, an MBA in Marketing from Marylhurst University, and an MA in New Testament from Talbot School of Theology. He and his wife, Jenny, love exploring cities and the outdoors on foot, bike, or kayak—always in search of hidden gem eateries and craft coffee shops. They’ve lived and traveled widely across the U.S. and abroad, and now call St. Charles, IL home.
